IKO Supertherm – Roofing Insulation
Perhaps the biggest benefit for roofing contractors is IKO Supertherm’s versatility. Easy to store and transport, its lightweight handling, on and offsite, makes IKO Supertherm ideal for new build and refurbishment projects.
Supertherm is a totally CFC/HCFC free, rigid foam, PIR insulation board, faced on both sides with a composite aluminium kraft sheet. The highly efficient closed cell foam core has an exceptionally low thermal conductivity and easily achieves required U values with a minimum thickness.
Supertherm is designed to be used in combination with mechanically fastened and self-adhesive waterproofing membranes. It is also used as roofing insulation for other cold applied / torch applied hybrid waterproofing systems. The PIR boards are suitable for use, over a suitable vapour control layer, on to supporting substrates such as profiled metal decking, timber panels, screeded concrete, or to upgrade existing sound bitumen roofing systems, to improve the efficiency of roofing insulation.
