Roofing & Factory Mutual (FM) Approvals
IKO are proud to announce that we have numerous FM assemblies to meet most Factory Mutual requirements for modern flat roofing of today.
The FM Approval is a certification issued by one of the world’s largest insurance companies, FM Global.
An FM Approval is only issued on systems that have been tested according to the high requirements set by FM Global. This also specifically looks at requirements in the field of:
- damage prevention
- fire
- wind load
FM approval is based on the entire roofing system build up. This includes everything that makes up the roof, from the deck to the top-most layer. In order for a system to be FM approved, it must be extensively tested by FM (Factory Mutual) at one of their testing facilities.
