550m2 Existing Building Roof Refurbishment
Project Description
Refurbishment of the 464 seat Northcott Theatre roof (est 1967) at the University of Exeter with completion required during the summer holiday period.
Solution
The site situation made the building vulnerable to high winds, so a low maintenance solution including a long-term single point warranty was required.
Installation
The roof refurbishment included the installation of smoke vents, associated smoke control panels and accessories. The scheme also required design support on the upstands, parapets, edge details, internal rainwater outlets and pipe penetration challenges.
