Founded in 1870 Limerick Boat Club is situated in the heart of Limerick City on the picturesque River Shannon.

During a severe storm in 2014 the boathouse roof suffered catastrophic damage and the building was left exposed.

After extensive fundraising by the local community, it was time to restore the historic building back to its former glory.

Local Limerick firm BCL Contracts secured the contract to undertake the roofing works.

The IKO Armourplan P Waterproofing System was approved for the project after consultation with IKO Technical support.

The metal roof deck was installed and IKO Armourplan P membrane was mechanically fixed over two layers of 25MM PIR insulation on IKO Spectravap to achieve the desired curved lines.

Armourplan standing seams completed the simulated metal roof effect.

Armourplan P is a 1.2mm thick reinforced PVC single ply roofing membrane which forms a sleek skin on many types of roof application.
